I was brought up Mormon in Idaho, USA, and have come a long way since then. I studied Spanish and linguistics formally, and continue to learn as much as I can about all the fascinating aspects of our world. I have lived and worked in various parts of the US, as well as Bolivia, Japan, Kuwait, Guatemala, and the UK. I have always tried to learn as much of the local language and culture as possible, but I believe I'm most comfortable around people of any nation who have lived and/or traveled extensively outside of their original homeland. I'm interested in staying fit with my mind and body. I'm very interested in nutrition and love to eat healthy food (and sometimes to eat and drink something unhealthy to top it all off!) I've been swimming half a mile(1km) 3 times a week for most of the past 25 years. Last year a friend offered to help me build my own computer, and that was a task that kept my mind challenged, believe me! I'm currently studying Arabic reading and writing in a more serious way than ever before, another challenge for the mind! I believe it's likely I'll live another 30-40 years, and I want to enjoy all of it! I'd like to see the parts of the world I haven't seen and the parts I have with someone who will enjoy it with me. I love to laugh and I'm very playful, but small talk is not my style, which is more like repartee. I love to read and talk it over with someone who would often be interested in topics I like.
